On-demand, fractional design and strategy partner you can subscribe to.

Hello, I’m Ufuk - “The One” of Agency of One.

I am a multi-disciplinary designer, idea generator, and strategic thinker.

During my career spanning over a decade in New York City, my work took many forms—from physical products to multi-sensory environments, digital experiences, and future concepts for brands including Google, Marriott International, Chase Bank, Coca-Cola, and Comcast.

With Agency of One, I work with a select number of clients as a fractional design lead, external support, or an extension of your team for a fixed monthly fee - with the flexibility to pause, resume or cancel as your design needs change.

Feel free to inquire about project-based work as well. As the name implies, Agency of One has one full-time staff with a mighty network of top creative collaborators

    • Teams in between hires, or ones that need support during a temporary leave.

    • Startups, entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs working on building new businesses or initiatives who could use a strategic creative partner they can rely on.

Design Research & Strategy

(Landscape and Opportunity Areas)

  • Getting more insight into a problem, its landscape, industry analogs, related technology and trends, user needs, and opportunity areas are crucial steps to any design process.

Having done this for many years helping some of the top brands, I can help you have a clear understanding of the problem and the opportunities, which will inform design and business decisions throughout the entire process.

  • Some scenarios the Design and Trend Research Deck would come in handy for:

    • Creating groundwork for new business and design solutions to be developed against.

    • Assessment for desirability, feasibility and viability of a potential initiative.

    • Getting buy-in from partners and stakeholders.

    • Gaining insights on the latest technology and trends for more informed strategic decisions.

    • Supporting design teams to make more informed decisions about user mindsets, needs, and goals.

    • Creating a stronger brief for a project RFP or kick-off.

    • Initial onboarding questionnaire that will help us understand the project and your needs.

    • Align on a draft brief describing the goals and methodology.

    • Checkpoints along the way to ensure the process continues in line with the initial goals.

    • Consultation with an SME as necessary.

    • A beautiful branded deck that will have the research findings and synthesis - outlining consumer, technology, trends insights, and opportunities that align with the brief.

* Teamwork from a past project.

Concept Development

(incl. Design Research & Strategy)

  • A set of product, service, or experience solutions to improve consumer satisfaction, elevate the brand image and/or create new business or revenue opportunities. Concepts are developed to answer opportunity areas and user needs uncovered by the Design and Trend Research, as well as your business goals.

They are communicated through visuals (sketches, renders, or collages) that depict the use cases, hero journeys, and user interactions, accompanied by annotations for supporting evidence that are backed by the research.

Some concepts I developed are either realized or on their way to realization by the largest hotel company in the world, the largest beverage brand in the world, and the largest financial institution in the world.

  • Some scenarios the Concept Deck would come in handy for:

    • Envisioning and assessing future solutions that can enhance user experience, improve brand recognition and create new business opportunities.

    • Secure funding by helping executives and investors better visualize a potential future scenario.

    • Spark conversations among creative and business partners and stakeholders about future-forward solutions backed by research.

    • Early-stage consumer feedback.

    • Lay groundwork for a new product, service, or experience to be fully developed.

  • (In addition to everything included in Design and Trend Research)

    • Upto 5 concepts, each paired with corresponding opportunity areas, user needs, and trends they are addressing.

    • Stakeholer interviews or collaboration workshop to get insight on the current state and the goals.

    • Consultation with SME’s as necessary.

    • Hero journeys and/or signature moments for each concept.

    • A beautiful, branded executive deck that ties all the research and visuals together in a compelling and impactful way.

Experience Design

(UX & UI)

  • Fully designed physical (product, space), digital (website, mobile app) or hybrid product solutions along with any UX/UI components. Whether it is a new product or improvements on an existing one, we can work with your brief or help you create one by identifying opportunity areas and user needs.

    • Create user experiences at the intersection of functionality, aesthetics, and human feelings.

    • Develop a human-centered, intuitive, and efficient path between current and desired user states.

    • Empower your brand to help people improve their quality of life.

    • Create strong consumer connections that lead to user satisfaction and brand loyalty.

    • Create, test and communicate new business and revenue ideas.

  • Depending on the medium of the product and scope of the project, deliverables can include:

    • Design & Trend Report

    • Executive Concept Deck

    • User testing & research

    • Process deliverables for digital products: Sketches, user flows, wireframes, interaction models, clickable prototypes.

    • Process deliverables for physical products: sketches, renderings, mock-ups, scale and appearance models (excluding any material and production costs).

(Spatial and Product)

Physical Design

  • Environments or products that users can interact with in the physical world. They can include digital components as interaction touch points.

    • Create tangible brand experience moments.

    • Create physical mock-ups and prototypes for team alignment and iteration.

    • Build and test multi-modal, multi-sensory interaction patterns.

  • Depending on the medium of the product and scope of the project, deliverables may include:

FAQ’s

  • Good question!

    • For starters, flexibility. You will spend a lot of time finding and onboarding the right designer - if they are not already booked. If your needs change and they don’t have enough workload, you will either need to keep paying them or risk losing them to another client. With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need.

    • Skillset. I offer a multitude of design services that would usually require multiple designers within one agile solution.

    • Cost. You get a highly experienced design partner without the overhead of hiring a full-time designer or an agency.

  • Me, the founder and solo full-time staff Ufuk Keskin, for the most part. Throughout my career, I worked on different design disciplines in corporate, consultancy, and startup settings - including Marriott International and Frog Design.

When a project requires special proficiency on a subject, I consult with some of the best creatives in their field, included in your fee.

I can partner with your team or collaborate with his network of talented creatives when a project calls for a larger team.

  • Depends on the type of project as it would with any other design process. You submit your ideal deadline for each task. If it is not feasible, we work together to determine what works best.

  • There are very few monthly spots available at a time to ensure consistent top-quality results. Additionally, the whole process is set up to be efficient and outcome-oriented. That means we can spend more time on what will impact the creative output vs busy administrative work. As our availability is limited, if you are able to sign up that means we are confident we can create excellent results for you.

  • It is understandable you may not have enough design work to fill up an entire month. That's where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are based on 30 day period. Let's say you sign up and use the service for 20 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.

  • You will get a design services invoice through our LLC.

    • Any material and/or production costs.

    • Travel expenses if needed.

    • Any software or subscription costs outside of what we use.

    • Other expenses that occur outside of the design services outlined in the descriptions.
